Taylorsville is a great spot to fish, Guist Creek in Shelbyville is another good spot to go and catch fish. 10" power worms and creature baits do pretty good as well. Good luck and welcome to KY.

In Louisville there is some good fishing in Floyds Fork and okay in Harrod's Creek. There are neighborhood ponds all over the city; some are private so you may have get permission.

McNeeley is tough because it is so pressured.

There was a list of top ten lakes in the state was recently on the board. A good list from one of the guys is:

    Ky Lake
    Barkley
    Barren
    Yatesville
    Herrington
    Nolin
    Cumberland
    Green River
    Dale Hollow
    Cedar Creek

Another creek in Kentucky near Frankfort is Elkhorn Creek. There are small mouth and largemouth in the creeks; you will have fun tackling a small mouth. They fight like bluegills but they are bigger.

Big worms are always good. Senkos are good too.

Jigs are good near structure and especially when muddy.
