Aside from just the common-sense argument, I think they lose anyway, just based on the last paragraph, "According to the assistant director of the Nebraska School Activities Association, Jim Angele, schools need to accommodate students in high school sports sanctioned by the state under the disabilities act. Cheerleading, however, is not state-sanctioned in Nebraska."
Let's look at this story in a slightly diffrent way.
Said child wants to be a brain surgeon. She has no arms and no legs. Can her parents sue to allow her to perform surgery? First surgery to be performed on her parents.
Yep I would agree except I deal with the ADA Codes all the time and like any law or standard it can be twisted and mangled to apply to anything or anyone.Aside from just the common-sense argument, I think they lose anyway, just based on the last paragraph, "According to the assistant director of the Nebraska School Activities Association, Jim Angele, schools need to accommodate students in high school sports sanctioned by the state under the disabilities act. I find very little in law that is absolute when in the hands of a skilled lawyer. Don't get me wrong this PC crap is out of hand IMO but ADA scraes the crap out of everyone.
I really want to say something but it is to sick
When I was a child, I wanted to play in the NBA. It is not my fault I was born short, white and athletically challenged. Were was the ADA when I needed them?
The last porno producer said I wasn't "long enough"..... I'm not sure what he meant, but something tells me I might have a valid lawsuit against my parents, in particular my dad.
Think the "heavy hitter" might take my case?
She should play baseball, she could be third base.
I don't know what the female version would be but I always heard that a guy with no arms or legs laying on the front porch was named Matt,a similar guy in the water was named Bob,and a similar guy on the wall was named Art.
Does this fall under ADA guidelines?
Don't forget the guy in the pile of leaves! Russell
