sorry to be off topic but are the good gizzads (6-8") easy to find up there and if so where. never been there but thinking of going soon to get bait

I rarely fish Herrington, but I usually go down once or twice a year when the white's/hybrids are hitting. Normally i like to fish the evening, however yesterday I had a little free time in the morning so I went down. In some places you could have walked across the water on fingerling shad, up any creek, and found a bunch up pasat the 34 bridge. Marked some fish on a couple of deep drop banks. Didnt see many fish in the jumps though. We had very little luck, most of our fish were 10-12" largemouth that were full of shad. I know that lake is full of them, I've caught them 40-50 at a time. I may go back one evening and try it again.

Like I said I dont fish there much, but I know there are tons of shad in that lake. I have saw some big ones in there, but not sure how easy they are to get. I know there are a ton of docks on that lake, I would think a person could find some at one of them. Ive been hearing that bait is hard to come by on Cumberland, is that where your fishing?
Try chenault bridge(the blue bridge). Always shad there!
