NO not all liberals, I never needed government[not gobment] assistance. I'm against mothers who spawn to get benefits. I'm also against dead beat fathers. AddictsI'm for family planning , even contraception for those who ask for it. We need more poor starving under educated kids like custer needed more indians.I knew two familys who were on welfare, and they did NOT live a life of luxury, it was hand to mouth at best. I'm against school voucher programs that would force some parochial schools to accept students that do not conform to the rules those schools insist on.And the banking scandal could have been avoided if the lenders used integrity, not dodges to make more of the goverment. I would deport all illegals when they were found, and fine the hell out of employers who knowingly use them. Food stamps would not be used for gourmet foods, and only english speaking folks would be able to get them.No more 4th place trophys, and no "C" honor roles. Schools would be run by principals, hired and fired by mayors or the top elected official.Prison spas for white collar crimes would be abolished, tax cheaters hiding assets in forign country banks would be deported to that country,And ethics would be a required subject for primary and secondary education.If religous leaders want a voice in politics fine, except remove the tax free status they hide behind. AND LAST, ABOLISH THE DEBT CEILING,ONLY ONE INDUSTIALIZED COUNTRY BESIDE US USES IT.Two tems for all elected officials, and no further contact with any government agency for 10 years.

Just got this to say you all think you know about the welfare system, I work in the system, wear my shoes one day. I got into this to help those in need as there had been some changes to programs, but I see first hand every day those who need and those that are like stated above. Purt thisway we waiste more than we need to, not all people on welfare are trash. Whane people lose jobs due to their jobs closing and moving away, they need help, esp when jobs are not there, and face it the jobs are not there, unless you wanna communte to China or Mexico, I wokr for the state due to THREE factorys that I worked at for long periods of time, closed down and went to MEXICO or overseas,3, each place employed several hundred and 1 over 1000, the onec mighty factories in Glasgow and Bowling Green are all but gone, all OVERSEAS AND MEXICO. CORPORATE greed has killed this country, along with BIN LADEN, he won, really, he accomlished his goal, he helped bring down the American economy, war costs a lot,esp nowdays of $5000 hammers and plane toliets. Yea also lest drug test allon welfare and foods stamps, go ahead add more cost to the program, by the way the USDA, runs the food stamp program, thatsright the DEPT of AGRICULTURE. No quick fix, to this situation, unless this countrys leaders put aside thiere petty and insane differances and focus on the country as a whole, then we are destined to fail. Sorry for long post, had to vent some.

He didn't. He is part of the problem...a major part in my book. Lets just go with the biggest thing...Healthcare, Obamacare or whatever it's gonna be called. It was passed and noone knows what the total impact is gonna be.

Your daily walk in life could somehow be influenced by this law once it's understood. Get a cold, break a bone, need a medical procedure, need insurance, have a car accident, preventative healthcare, outpatient services, employer provided insurance and on and on. Where will it stop? It won't, once the gubment gets a money program going it's hard to stop. How many IRS folks need to be hired to figure out how to take more money from folks?

Do you actually think private interests would lower health costs? Maybe they would, through exclusion! So if your luck runs out for some reason, you'll be dropped and forgotten.Health insurers wanted tort reform, they got it, did your rates go down?Who has the largest group of lobbyists in washington, the insurance lobby, check it out. The next target will be these nuisance class action suits, you know where a bad drug or maybe a bad hip or joint is involved, They are all for doctors and drug companys burying their mistakes, sometimes its some one we care about.My brother was diagnosed with early stage alziemers, after 3 years of treatment, guess what? he NEVER had it, any recourse? sure get a second or third opinion, but whos responsible for the costly drug thereapy that insued. If it works marginally well in most civilized countrys, why not here??

My understanding was that insurance rates around the country for the same aged person with the same health varies alot due to states limiting the number of carriers in the state? I ask why? If that's true, why? Why limit competition unless something crooked is going on....I'm going on memory so I know I prolly missed something there so maybe someone can chime in on that.

Tort reform never occurred. It would be a good start.Allowing individuals to buy healthcare insurance across state lines would create competition and prices would drop some. Medicare reform would be a good idea and the scooter store wouldn't be able to guarantee that medicare will buy your scooter. High penalties for doctors that order unneeded tests on terminally ill patients would save lots of money. Making a deal with Canadian pharmaceutical companies would bring domestic costs of medicine down. Limiting the services of medicaid to medically essential and emergency services instead of paying for elective surgeries and treatments (breast enlargement is not really a treatment for depression). There are many ways to cut medical costs and reduce the deficit. But you can be rest assured 47% of the people in this country that pay no income tax won't support it. Lets change the politician pay plan to a pay for performance plan... Then our entire congress would be on food stamps!

Im 26 years old and have been in the landscaping business my entire life, just like my grandfather and father.
I could collect unemployment from December to March every year but I never have. Instead every year I go to a temp agency and get a temporary job.
I could also get food stamps if wanted but I choose not to.
The way I see it is if they didn't tax me so **** much I'd be living great, wouldn't even need to work from December to March. I could just stay home everyday and watch for people stopping in to buy firewood.
I still get some work from December to March but not much at all. Mostly gutter cleaning and leaf removal jobs. Since I don't take their handouts I do not claim that work on me taxes.

That said, the woman and me still do not have any children. If we did it might be a completely different story.

My best friend since 3rd grade basketball team, his mother is on disability. Does nothing and collects money. If she was disabled I wouldn't see a problem but this woman is far from F"ing disabled. She goes to the gym every morning to work out, has a huge garden that she tends to on her own, goes to every UK football game etc,,,, it makes me so sick knowing that the guberment is stealing my money to give to people like her. Kind of crap that makes me say their is no freedom is this country just an illusion of it. Your free to do some things but keeping your money is not one of them.

Unemployment, is not a government handout, you cannot recieve unemployment unless you have worked and payed it into the system. so if you are out of work, sign up and recieve your unemployment benefits, it's not the governments money, it's yours. you payed it in.
