The tournament you are referring to is the collegiate bass open from last year, 2010. EKU only sent one boat to this tournament. With this format, a team consists of UP TO 3 boats. That means a school could send 1, 2, or 3 boats. For the teams that only sent 1 boat, their weight was doubled each day. For the teams that sent 2 boats, their weights were combined. For teams that sent 3 boats, the two largest weights were added. So what I am getting at is that EKU only caught 42.5 pounds in these two days. Although that is a great amount of fish for two days, the 85 pounds that you are seeing is not actually 85 pounds. Hope this clears it up.
On a side note, the two guys that did go down there for them last year are extremely good fisherman. They are dominating college fishing right now.
