start with your anti-ventilation plate even with your bottom
not sure what an anit ventilation plate is....
water pressure is good while idle, through take off and while in plane
On a stratos boat with a 225HP you probably should be turning around 6100RPM and you should be turning at least a 25pitch Prop. To start I would call the motor manufactuer to find out Max RPM and while you have them on the phone ask what prop runs the best with that motor. Then you need to put a level on the pad of your boat while someone lowers or raises the jack to make it level. Lay the level on the ground making sure it's level and measure from it to your pad and then from it to cavitation plate and raise your motor. I would start at 2 1/2". Run it BUT make sure you watch your WATER PRESSURE. Watch RPM's and do not go above the Max. That is a good hull and it should run in the HIGH 60's maybe LOW 70's. Hope it helps you
thank you all for your advice i ended up raising the jack plate up about an inch... i went from 5000 rpm's to about 5600 water pressure is still good also gained around 4-5 mph as well running about 65 wide open... thanks again for all your input!! i think the next thing for me to do would be to get a bigger prop and i dont have 300 to bu a used one!
once again thank you all!!
