Really! You are as full of stuffing as a Christmas turkey. I have a problem understanding how you know so much about it when you weren't there listening to the conference calls and discussions about the problems. How long has it been since you worked and, if you are still employed, does that give you some sort of magic powers to know about EVERY union job in the nation? Have you ever heard of the word 'sabotage'...that's all I'll say on that topic other than it frequently happens.

I don't fight unions and am not ignorant about them. I have been a member of OPEIU for many years. Just in case there was something you overlooked while you became a "union expert," thats the Office and Professional Employees International Union (AFL/CIO). It's for White Collar workers which ALSO includes doctors, nurses, etc.

I worked for over 40 years, a lot of jobs, different companys, some were not union. The one thing I do know is that if you work hard,do what ever job you have as best you can, youre probably going to come out alright.Union workers get the bad rap that they make inferior products, Bull! The UAW didn't design the Pinto, the corvair, the edsel, the car companys did.The unions didn't kill the american steel industry, poor corporate practise did,As a steel worker I saw first hand some of that stuff, the company I worked for got a government contract for steel to be shipped to Pakistan, most of it was galvanized, and then corragated. That company sent scrap metal, almost no quality control when the inspectors complained, they were told to shut up, its your tax money,it was simply a waste of time and metal. They also got a contract to supply Subarhu, the car company, we had one of the newest galvanizing mills in the mid west,Again, inspectors complained about poor quality, no one listened. Tons of pretty good stuff was shipped. and tons were returned, didn't match the quality agreed upon. Why did this happen, poor workers? No management saw a chance to make big profits, and it didn't work.Later I worked in the chemical industry, our company was mostly non union, our small plant was, the non union plants got better benefits, and better pay in some cases. But they started to cut corners on union maintainence work. Just one bad on an electrical circuit, and a million plus turbine turned into scrap. I watched yahoos welding high pressure stainless pipe, that couldnt pass a quarter of desigtfn strenght, when we hydo tested it, it mad a nice garden sprinkler, the money they saved cost them almost four times what they spent to repair it.This was pointed out to the management at various times, and ignored. Sabotage, yep there was sabatage with the corporation. killed about 1000 people, not here, ever hear of that plant in india. that killed more indians than custer? yep I worked for them.
