skipjack on the ohio

Can anybody tell me when the skipjack are running? Had to buy one from peppers sat. and paid $4.56. I know where to catch em, I just cant remember when.

we catch them late spring/early summer.

Not sure if its worth the drive but on the where the ohio and ky rivers come together, about 2 miles up the ky at lock #1 they have been catching them like crazy!

Are they still catching them there? Back in June they were running and jumping like crazy but I was out there a couple weeks ago and got nothing.
