I know it seems he is done but he isn't. The spin, dirty politics is only starting. By the time the re-election campaign is in full swing he will have half the country believing it wasn't anything he did or didn't do.

you guys are simpy amazing--eight years of gw along with six out of eight years of house and senate rule by the repubs brought this country to the brink of depression--the worst economic mess since the great depression and you expect obama to come in a magically turn it around--the first two years of his presidency he managed to stop the bleeding and things were starting to look up as much as they could for the massive mess he was handed--the tea party takes control of the house and refuses to compromise on anything--obama and bohner were willing to work the great compromise which called for roughly 2 trillion in cuts and 2 trillion in revenue which would prevented the downgrade but the tea party wouldnt allow the wealthy to pay their fare share--ya i know you guys are gonna show a bunch of stats saying how the rich pay all the taxes and you would be right if they actually paid the 36% their supposed too however all the ridiculous loopholes and deductions most pay 20% or below--the richer you are the more loopholes you have--tax breaks for the rich produce nothing but debt and misery--those bush tax cuts in early 2000 and the extension of those tax breaks sure are paying dividends now huh!

YOU THINK.........you say most, but unless you're in the 36% bracket, you know NOTHING about what you say. I'm not in that bracket, but I pay a whole lot of taxes.......and I PAY MY SHARE......

The would if Obama WOULD allow businesses to actually grow. He is anti business and I'm beginning to think Anti AMERICAN. I believe that if businesses actually had an idea about how much it was going to cost to do business in 2-3-5-10 years, MAYBE they'd hire some folks. Instead, they have learned how to get along with the employee base they have. Again, this is COMPLETELY an Obama issue.

the biggest chunk of obama spending came at the beginning of his presidency when he was facing depression or complete economic collapse--he had two choices do nothing or tarp--if he does nothing and the country slips into depression than you guys would have said he sat buy and let the country slip into depression--so he spends the money to prevent potential economic collapse which would have been alot worse than things are now and you guys dog him for spending too much---sure everything looked great for the first 6 year and then are whole economy nearly collapsed--oh but we had a few good years--what a joke---ya your right obama owns the downgrade because he is the only sitting president who has had to deal with tea party who are only concerned about whats in their pocket books be damned everything else--i very much agree that spending must be controlled--but not soley on the backs of middle class and it must be done in a manageable way--getting spending under control does us no good if we destroy our economy to do it--taking massive cuts out of our economy all at one time is a recipe for disaster--as for the flat tax i would have no problem with that but its a waste of time because it will never happen with our current political system--i am in the 36% bracket and yes i know and its unfortunate that the hardworking middle class folks like yourself geo end up paying more in taxes percentage wise than i do--what a shame

Today, in his "Chill Out, I Got This" speech....with the world watching....begging for some sense of leadership, sense of a plan, sense of something....he says absolutely nothing of substance. It was essentially 15 minutes of "Warren Buffet says we're good for it. Now guys, we really need to work together better, okay?" Then, he shifted to talking about the military and our losses in Afghanistan this weekend.

I heard more substance in Goofy Gatewood Galbraith's speech at Fancy Farm this weekend from under the brim of his straw hat....seriously....

I agree with Don on not counting Nobama out so easily...then again I've always been a pessimist, glass half full type of guy, prepare for the worst but pray for the best. I think there are to many illegal's, mexican's, chinese, and blacks in this country who will vote for him regardless. I also think there are a lot of folks now days who are dependant on social programs (something Nobama seems to love), and you know the social program recipient ain't gonna vote against their bread and butter.

Average everyday white boys are the minority guys....I know it and the rest of you know it...not sure when it will become common knowledge and we start seeing some rights of our own, then again....like someone Riverrat wrote...kiss the American Dream bye.
