I love it for brown and rainbow trout. I usually put in a canoe at a ramp near High Bridge on the KY River and then paddle up the Dix to the dam. There's greater numbers of trout above the riffle, but the bigger ones seem to stay below it. Very cool place to fish!

As for bass, doesn't seem like it would be all that great, although I have seen some MONSTERS there at the big hole scoured out by the dam overflow spillway. You can see those big dudes down there and sight fish for them, but I have had zero luck getting them to bite. The water is so clear!
