Well fishing is over for me till at least October. Going in for two aortic stents next wednesday[unless I croak before then].Be about 8 to 10 weeks of very limited activity after that.Till then its walking on eggs.

I had surgery in 1998 and took me 6 months to get over the healing & infection before I could go back to work. Had stents (2) installed in 2003 and was back to full speed within 3 weeks. They may tell you 8 to 10 weeks but you will feel better in about 3 weeks after your groin heals from the catheter. Talked to a friend who recently had stents put in and they went in through his left arm instead of his groin. Hope you get to feeling better soon as summer is about over and fall fishing is on the way.

Its wierd, I was feeling great. walking the dog every morning, keeping as active as I could, then my new doctor suggested that ultra sound, as a precaution he said. A couple of days later, he tells me I have a pretty serious problem. I have had an angioplasty, heart cath. so I know the drill. but I was a lot younger the first time. Fly, we's gonna try that FNF again, maybe a nice 25 degree day next time.
