So the only player taken in the NFL Supplemental draft was Terrell Pryor by the Raiders. Pryor is going to be rewarded with a $2.4 Million dollar contract. Which means he probably is taking a paycut to go from the Buckeyes to the Raiders, but it would have been nice to see him not drafted at all. How crazy is Al Davis? He says they drafted Pryor to play QB. I guess if you are DUMB enough to draft Jamarcus Russell and pay him a Trillion dollars for nothing then what is a mere $2.4 Million. I guess all the character testing the NFL puts thru the potential regular draft possibilities don't apply because who has more character issues than Pryor?

I agree that Cam Newton has character issues and is only slightly better that Pryor because he has not been busted YET. I think Newton will be a bust and wonder if he was not drafted on the ability to draw the fans to the stadium, even short term, over his ability. At least the Raiders were not as bad as the Panthers and have a "decent" QB in Jason Campbell. It is just a never ending cycle of Mega-Rich billionaire owners giving Millions to kids that don't deserve it then charge $6 for a Hot Dog to get back the cash. As long as fans go to games and support their teams with money it won't ever end. I don't attend college or pro games, mainly can't affor them now, but a few years ago when money was not an issue I refused to pay the rediculous prices for tickets and stuff. This would have been a perfect time to set an example that kids who cheat in college are not welcome in the pro game. Let him go to Canada or overseas to prove his character for a few years. But NO, let's allow Pryor to reach his dream of playing in the NFL. Precedent had been set in that college football players who get caught cheating, then ran out of town will still get the last laugh. I am sure these events have persuaded any kids currently cheating or considering cheating has now changed their minds in that they won't do it, NOT!!!!

You may be right but I see Cam's ability, both on and off the field, like Vince Young. I know Vince has a great win-loss record as a starter but if Jeff Fisher could not keep him under control in TN, then not too many coaches will. Even after Fisher left first, the owner could have kept Young but chose to let him walk. Must be a lot of negative there for Young to be sent packing and Cam is a headcase as well.

Am I the only one who realizes you have to be able to throw the ball to play in the NFL....Cam Newton is not a great passer, and never will be...Michael Vick is the only player I've seen with enough athleticism to overcome poor passing and Cam Newton is no Vick....Sure he's big and athletic, but so are the D linemen that will be chasing him around in the NFL...Cam Newton will never be a successful starting QB in the NFL..

Vince Youngs winning record in the NFL had a lot more to do with Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden bosch than it did with Vince Young
