Maybe you're not totally grasping this, so I'll try to break it down a bit more for you. It's not a bunch of tournaments on small creeks. It's ONE day, out of the entire year, where Kentucky will be a host to a tournament on ANY river and creek located within a 333 mile boundary, including the Kentucky River. Boundary designated in green on the map linked below

Canoe Kentucky said they'd be thrilled if 30 people were in attendance for the tournament, so in other words, 30 people spread out over a 330 mile boundary, will be putting no extra pressure, on any particular body of water, more so than any other day in the summer.

So I guess I'm having trouble figuring out why you're wanting to alienate people who are 1) a very good, but small, community of people who enjoy the same sport you enjoy, 2) are willing to do the dirty work to help clean our rivers and streams of trash? I'm failing to see how this is such a detriment as you seem to think it is.

I would have to bet that you could take any Saturday out of the summer where big boat bassers are having a tournament in the state of Ky, and the negative impact of that one day on the bodies of water would be worse than the impact of the entire River Bassin' tournament trail of 12 tournaments spread throughout the entire United States.
