    I've never tried the wakeboard, but I love to ski, crossing behind the boat and jumping the waves the boat makes is fun, and swinging out to the side and tring to bass the boat thats pulling you is cool to. I'm 59 and can ski as good and as long now as I could whan I was 30.

    That's impressive! I hope I can say the same when I get there.
    The older I get the more I appreciate good health.

    Re: Wake Boarding

    I got to jump the wake a few times this past weekend! Felt great but the crashes hurt my shoulder.....and my head. I did do some surface 180's! Wish the water wasn't cooling down so fast but cooling water sure is good for the fishing!

    We grew up skiing, but now we all ride tubes. We tend to go to areas of the lake that every body is doing it and fishermen rarely go.

    You can actually get cited for jumping wakes on a jet ski....never tried the wake boarding, but tried out being pulled in a tube...Lots of fun for sure.....

    Yep I have heard that for jet ski riders. I guess it's reckless driving or something??
    If you can ski and have some coordination (skateboarders prolly take right to it) you can wake board. Alot of fun!

    It's not a clear enforceable rule; more of a "no harm no foul" kind of rule. It's really just in place to allow someone to press charges in the event of an accident or property damage that happens as a result of it.

    Personal watercraft shall not jump the wake of another craft in a way that endangers human life, physical safety or property;

    I don't think anyone mentioned that......

    But since you brought it up, I've been doing that for years! I love finding those big cruisers throwing out big fat 5 and 6 ft waves. The best ones are the ones that have that little curl at the top, which makes the nose of the jetski pop up better. It's awesome when you launch off a big wave, get some monster air, and for a split second it's dead quiet and you feel like you are just hanging there in the sky! It's awesome!
