Most of have Heard Mr. Buffet calling for higher taxes on the rich in the news media.

I heard on the radio last night on the way back from Nashvegas that his company, Berkshire Hathaway has been fighting with the IRS since 2002 over a billion dollars in taxes. Supposedly he has a small army of lawyers and accountants fighting the IRS tooth and nail over the federal tax bill.

Does anyone know anything about this?

If it's true the first word that comes to mind is hypocrisy.

Probably true to. The only reason he has even said anything about this tax business anyway is because he's Barry's minion and worships him. He wants Barry to shine like a new penny no matter what.

I never took his statements as anything more than political garbage. Any man than says he should pay more taxes and basically hurt his income and standard of living is full of it. JMO

I agree that he's probably as full of it as everyone else, but his point was that raising his tax rate won't hurt his standard of living. After all, what is the difference between being able to buy 100 jets and 120 jets? That said, you can't trust ANYONE on TV because SOMEONE is paying for the camera!

I also heard this and my exact thoughts were hypocrite, but then I am from Illinois and I recognized this as Chicago Politics in other words if you will go on TV and tell everyone the rich do not pay enough in taxes we will settle Berkshire Hathaway tax issues in a very favorable way.

Apparently Obama took it to heart as he mentioned Warren Buffet's comment on the situation in his speech Thursday night.
