Police in Jessamine County are searching for three men who they say robbed and then pistol-whipped a man who was fishing in a creek at the time.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. on Sunday at a creek near Mackey Pike. Police say the victim, whose name has not been released, was fishing when he was approached by three men. Police say the the three men then robbed the man of his fishing equipment and other personal items, and then one produced a handgun and struck the victim with it.

Police have released a composite sketch of one of the men. He is described as a white male in his late 20s-early 30s, with brown hair with a mullet cut, about 6'0" and with cross tattoo under his right eye and a teardrop tattoo under his left eye.

The other two suspects are also described as white men, one on his 30s, also with brown hair and a mullet and about 5-foot-9. The third suspect is also described as being in his 30s, has a gap in his teeth, and was wearing an earring in his left ear.

The victim said the suspects fled in a red Chevy S-10 pickup truck with a black tool box in the bed if the truck.
