Rough river report

fished rough today from daylight till 1:30. fishing was excellent for most of the day. the water in the mid 70's. all of my fish were caught 8-20 feet deep on points and brush piles. texas rigged creature baits and deep diving crainkbaits were the ticket today. tried shallow for an hour or so and couldn't get bit. most of the bass are still out off the banks.

I called a friend of mine who lives down there he has been fishing the last 2 days and he said he had caught some small bass ( he is a bank beater) small blue gills and small crappie. I think I will give it another week to see if the weather will level out some and the water to stablize. He said the bass were still after the fry but would not hit anything he had.

all the bass I caught last weekend were under 13 inches.
