Re: The big question for bass anglers

I have to go with a jig. Either a triple rattleback or heavy enticer football head. You can add a bulky trailer to slow your fall and give them a little more action, swim them, drag them like a carolina rig, hop them, stroke them, pitch and shake them, anything you can imagine basically. You can cover any part of the water column you choose, and with a color and weight swap you can imitate just about any kind of forage base. My best tournament fish, a 4.85#er, came early winter on a 3/8 black/blue triple rattleback with a black power leach trailer at Rough near Axtel. Not a monster by any means but I have only fished a few tournaments and I only missed big fish by .2#s.

ROOSTER TAIL Will catch anything at any time. But for bass it would be a jig without a doubt.
