DJ my man! You just brought back a fond memory of Bandit's Bait Shop outside Jamestown at C-land. First couple times I went in there, I branded him as "The Shad Nazi". Man he could be rough. Took me some time to figure him out, and I did verbally fire him up a couple times. Seemed like he treated me better once he knew he'd get in return what he offered. Anyway, gruff guy to get to know, but sure knew the lake and what was happening. Hated to see him go and that shop close. It was one of the last places headed that way in that area who carried suckers.
Do you know how many times I have watched someone go down a bank and not get a hit, only to follow them myself and land several, with the same bait. I don't ask advice and rarely listen to one giving it. Everyone has their own moves, something you swear by, what works for you might not work for me. This is an individual sport, let me fish, if I get skunked it's on me, not the baitshop salesman, or the ranger boat you passed on the point. You're a fisherman, everyone knows we stretch the truth, lol. Besides, the only person you should give advice to is the child you have in the boat, they are the only ones that will listen and use it the rest of their lives. JMO. Peace
