Fishing Maps

Just wanted to get some opinions on some decent maps for the lakes in the area. What you guys use/like...and what you don't. I'm new to fishing Rough and Nolin and lakes in this area, so I'm looking for some quality maps. Thoughts or suggestions ?

Ironhead70 - so in KY, what lakes do they show depth contour? Looks like an awesome site. Just curious on the detailed lake coverage before I pay. Thanks!

lol i dont know never paid but i just looked at it and they have changed it around it use to have all the stuf,f it use to show the depth but does not now ......it did show all the major lakes and some smaller lakes like t-vill willisburg herrington ect... i cant really remember if it had small lakes like elemer davis, bulllock penn ..... i always used it to find creeks and such and find out how far from the ramp it would be

this is the link to the main page it show what the map looked like before as u can see what it offered for free and at the top what was in green was free and the yellow was what you got if you paid look like ill be buying now


ok now i signed up to creat an account but did not pay and the bottom works now i can see the depth .......go to the map icon and slect the free stuff there you can slect the depth

If you have an iPhone or android, check out the Navionics app. It costs $15 & has almost every lake basically east of the Mississippi. Uses GPS to depth, direction, speed, plot charter, plot record. Can record exact location & important information about fishing spots. Love it!

I did not sign up, and it works for me, go to the lake, click on maps, click on free, click on topo, click on back to lake

The topo maps option provides contours if they are in the USGS topo maps. Under the premium section ($15 a year) you can click contours to just see the contours on top of imagery. You can choose multiple types of imagery to view the contours on top of. You can also choose depth profiles which gives a shaded view of the lake bottom. $15 a year is cheap.

There is not a working demo though but this will give you an idea. Seems like a valuable tool to use this time of year to take another look at the water you fish.
