Clarity is good and water temps are low 80's. Upper 70's in the morning at times depending on weather.

Lake level 683.7, water temp. 78

gocats this info was taken at Grider Hill today which is the complete opposite end of the lake. Burnside is usually a degree or so cooler.
mhall is correct the water was really clear last weekend (until the Poker Run stirred things up a bit).

If you don't mind shoot us a general report. Things should be getting better down there with the lower water temps and the Poker crap over.

Fished cland yesterday for most of the day. Fishing was slow. One keeper largemouth on shakey head. Fished mid lake around conley bottom. Water clarity was good, temps just under 75.

Thanks for the report. Fished West end on Friday, up in one of the creeks and didn't do well at all. Had it not been for a couple of short KY's, I'd been Skunked! Did give a "long release" to a decent SM. Water temp was 76 deg, with clear water in the creeks.

That lake is a mere shadow of it's old self, it makes me very sad. I know it still gives up an occasional good day with a heavy sack, but most people give the reports you guys just gave. I use to tear smallmouth a new rear end on that lake and now if you go out and catch three or four decent to good ones you feel like you set the world on fire.

That lake is in trouble in my opinion...............Sigh....

I think the abundance of shad contributes to the tough fishing. I saw so many balls of shad in the lake that the fish just don't have to work to eat. They have a meal available at any time. I will have to agree though, the number of fish in the lake have diminished.

Definitely a possibility. While out yesterday there were balls of baitfish everywhere: creek mouths, creek channels, coves, basically anywhere you looked. Caught about 6-7 borderline keeper LMs on jigs. Not a great day but like mhall said feels like winning the classic on cland
