Assuming you are looking for stripers.
You might try netting some gizzards in the back of the wolf creek up the creek from the dock. Get in four feet or so of water when the sun shines in the afternoon-maybe mid morning. Look for them flipping. Could also try a light at night and net alewives in the main lake.
With the top water layer cooling the fish may have come up to 30' where there is plenty of oxygen.
Don't know where the fish will be but I will be looking around main lake flats, cove and creek mouths from Jamestown to the dam. Will also look up in the creek mouths a a quarter mile or so.
Good luck.
Please let us know what you see and catch out there
Peter, Thanks for the reply. We will be staying on a houseboat at alligator II so we will be putting out a light. So you are saying to fish down towards the dam as opposed to up near Wolfe creek?
This week and last I would have said fish near the dam. We caught fish down by the dam Saturday, 4 keepers and one was 35". A buddy caught a 39" there too. For sure 39" as I watched it be measured.
With cooling surface temps Wolf may be a good place to fish now or real soon. When the water cools my guess is they could be just about anywhere from mid creek to the dam.
Hope you haven't already been down there. Not sure you indicated when were going.
Good luck
