Police in Jessamine County are searching for three men who they say robbed and then pistol-whipped a man who was fishing in a creek at the time.
The incident happened at about 8 p.m. on Sunday at a creek near Mackey Pike. Police say the victim, whose name has not been released, was fishing when he was approached by three men. Police say the the three men then robbed the man of his fishing equipment and other personal items, and then one produced a handgun and struck the victim with it.
Police have released a composite sketch of one of the men. He is described as a white male in his late 20s-early 30s, with brown hair with a mullet cut, about 6'0" and with cross tattoo under his right eye and a teardrop tattoo under his left eye.
The other two suspects are also described as white men, one on his 30s, also with brown hair and a mullet and about 5-foot-9. The third suspect is also described as being in his 30s, has a gap in his teeth, and was wearing an earring in his left ear.
The victim said the suspects fled in a red Chevy S-10 pickup truck with a black tool box in the bed if the truck.

No Doubt...I never go fishing anymore without Mr. Kimber at my side!! low life POS's!! I feel bad for this guy. I couldn't even imagine how pi$$ed off he is. Hopefully they catch these guys.

How hard can it be to catch a Dumba$$ with a tatoo under each eye? Im sure there are plenty of people that match this description in that area. Yeah, Right!

He is lucky to be alive, sometiims a teardrop tat under the eye means that this person has killed someone. It is sad that a person cant enjoy the outdoors anymore with people like this running around, that is why Im gonna start packing a 9 again. Sad sad times we livin in.

I hate this kinda stuff, feel bad for the guy. I wish every theif in the world would choke on a chicken bone and DIE! I hate thieves and would have no problem shooting one several hundred times or until I ran out of ammo.

That's exactly why I have a dry-bag that is just the right size for my SigSauer...left inside chest pocket of my wading vest. You may end up pistol whipping me, but you're taking some lead in the process.
I had a "situation" while fishing in that area years back actually. Two Mexicans in a van that were not happy I was there for some reason - Still not sure why.

Conceal and carry is cheap enough I just combine it with my glock .40 and if I feel my life is threatened.... click click BOOM, I hope to never have to do it but trust me I like the old country song " I'm not a man who would harm a mouse but if i catch somebody breaking in my house I got a 12 gauge shotgun waiting on the other side"
This guys in my prayers I hope if/when they catch them they pratice the do unto others like they done unto him.....

Be prepared for the legal battles. You can't kill just one of three because the other two will have a different story for the Judge and jury. You have to kill all three. No witnesses. Even then, you can have trouble. Here is a link where the parents of a burglar sued for wrongful death--for the burglar's 3 year old daughter and won $300,000 because the burglar did not intend to hurt anybody.

I read the article and to me it's a lesson to be learned for everyone....plan your property and personal defense better!! Maybe not shoot the guy....Prolly should have just let him fall on the pavement a dozen times or so which can break bones.Originally Posted by llg
Seriously, the Judges who are supposed to help protect the rights of everyone seemed to have missed the mark. No doubt his little girl is a victim of having a loser for a father but life is tough and things happen.
I don't know the laws but unless those guys went way over the top and in fact ambushed the guy (rambo style) that judge should retire. Who knows how the thing went down but with the limited info it sounds like they got shafted.

Oh please. For one thing, the two cases don't even compare. In one, the shooters are defending PROPERTY, and nothing else, in the other it would have clearly been self defense. I mean, the guy's wading in a creek fishing, what are the others gonna say, he attacked THEM? Yes, it's a crazy country sometimes, but to say "leave no witnesses" sounds more like a criminal talking. People who commit crimes like this are generally spineless cowards, and had he shot the first one to threaten him, I believe the most likely result would have been the other two would have turned and ran, and shooting them in the back would have just ended up with the victim in jail.
