yes the Spotted Bass A.K.A. Kentucky Bass is a type of bass that is different than a LM. From what I can tell it is a spot. I am going by the jaw hinge not going past the eye. I'm not sure about the mooneye. But Shad can get huge, so its def. not out of the question for that to be a shad of some sort. I don't know my Shad and rough fish ID's.
