First off, Obama was absolutely correct to send a message to Israel that the continued settlement of land they don't own is the biggest barrier to peace in the middle east. It IS, and any objective observer can see that. Second, it's not like he afforded Abbas the same courtesies he denied Netanyahu. He agreed to meet with him, but only to tell him that the way he is pursuing statehood is WRONG. Of course, you left that part out since it doesn't support your point. And the article also says, "Obama will also meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday," so where's the favoritism? If he were a closet Muslim, why would he support a veto of the Palestinians' bid for statehood?
