OK fine. Of course Israel has a right to exist, and the United States should support that no matter what. And your point about buffer zones is sound, but a lot of settlements can't be justified as needed for that; they're just plain land grabs. But you're right, we'll always disagree on that. Getting back to your original point about how Obama mistreated Netanyahu when he visited last year, and then said he was going to meet with Abbas this week, I'd like to point out that from all that's been reported it doesn't seem that said meeting has happened yet, but he HAS already met with Netanyahu, who called Obama's stance against the UN recognizing a Palestinian state a "badge of honor."

Obama's big mistake here was a year ago, when he stood in front of the UN and made all those pronouncements about a future Palestinian state. If he hadn't done that we likely wouldn't have all this mess going on. But he did that out of naiveté and ineptitude, not because he's a "closet Muslim."
