    Re: Stoner Report 9/24

Don't get me wrong. It's the persons property and they have a right to charge. I just thinks it's ridiculous to charge $10 for bank fishing when it's only $5 to launch a boat. That doesn't make sense to me.

I guess I'll have to find somewhere else...

I've fished both and I always have more luck at Ike's pool and have trouble locating fish at Fryman's. I usually catch a few where the two creeks converge. It may just be the times that I have gone to Fryman's but it seems like there is always lots of duck weed, algae and murkiness in this pool once you get into the two creeks. What area is best to fish there?

I've always had better luck when the conditions are exactly as you described. If you haven't tried it, and like the topwater bite..I highly recommend the "ribbit frog" . you can get them at bass pro and other bait shops. They work similar to a buzz or chatter bait in open water, and like a frog on top of the duckweed and moss. The strikes are nothing less than ferocious, so be ready

I usually have better luck in the main creek, before the split, but I've caught several after the split as well. The quality fish have come from the main creek for the most part though.

    Tight Lines !!

Thanks man, I appreciate the tips. I normally fish plastics in the creeks but next time I'll bring some topwater action. I'll definitely check out the ribbit frog.

Wow..$10.00.I'm sorry about that, guess its been a real long time since I was over there.Sure not worth anything near that price.Have you given any thought to fishing at a FINS lake such as the one over at Whitehall in Madison County?I know its "free" and I think they are about to stock it with trout.Hope this helps.

I think I've got a buddy with a boat talked into going up to Fryman's & launching next week. If we make it I'll let you know how it goes.
Where is Whitehall? I've fished Wilgreen in Richmond a couple times, not a lot to write home about from those trips though.

I will be there at sunrise. 1st time the boat has been wet since July. Look for a red Outlaw throwing the heck out of a crankbait and buzzbait!!

when you do, be sure to back it in slow- that ramp at frymans kinda drops off sharp at the end.

    Thanks in advance.
