around 8 feet some deeper, around all the stick ups
Medium and large minnows. No Floaters just drop shot to bottom and jig just ever so slow back up till the bite, most were about a foot off the bottom.

The guys across the cove were using bobbers and Minnows, and catching them at the drop offs about 14 - 16 feet " they said "
Good luck, and like I said it should get real good in this next 2 weeks and on.

Red face Re: Crappie Bite is on at East fork

Well I must have been wrong about the Crappie being great in the next couple weeks as I quoted in my post last week, My Dad and I hit East Fork again yesterday and it was very slow. Real cold in the morning and water temp around 65 ish
We fished from about 8am till 6pm mostly Minnows and some Jigs only caught 6 keepers. You know it really is true a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work, I work 6 days a week 9 hours a day and to spend yesterday with my Dad who is getting old now was a TRUE Blessing,

And on another note we here about these Bass Fisherman who want to fish out of your Live well, and all the other boaters with no respect or mannors I met a great guy yesterday, while fishing a Point in the First cove to the right of the Dam, and a guy pulled in and started fishing another point about a 100 yards from us about an hour later when he was finished he came over to see if we had done any good, when we told him we only caught 2 at that time he asks if we were using Minnows and of course we said yes, he had caught 9 using Shad, and asked did we want some, Sure Ill try anything once, This Guy immediately pulls out a casting net one throw and 3 dozen Shad maybe 2 inches long. what a nice Fella
We didn't catch any on the Shad but he sure did, Well Ill be back at it again next Sunday Lord willing and the Lake don't Rise
    Have a great week Dave
