Lowrance downscan/sidescan help

You may or may not have an extra switch, there is a yellow wire coming off the screen that can be connected to the yellow wire on structure scan. If these two are connected the screen tells the structure scan to power up by sending 12v through the yellow wire. The SS1 has constant power but it has to have additional 12 volts to power it up either through a toggle switch or the yellow wire from screen. Follow the yellow wire from the SS1 and see where it goes, does it go to a toggle or to the yellow wire from screen this will tell you which way it is wired. It’s possible someone never hooked it up and if so even though it has power at SS1 it will not power up. If the screen is on and out of water yes you will hear in pinging but when you power off your HDS unit it will turn off power to SS1.

Well, finally got everything sorted out. It did have the LSS-1 module and the only problem was the accessory switch A1 had to be turned on to get power to the module and hence the "Source". Thanks for the help guys, love fishin.com!!
