fished there this weekend and it was tough. Little ones are easy but the big ones are hard to come by. Throw biffle bug in sooner run.
I tried the ol speed craw on sunday but still couldnt catch them on it. But i was fishing around 20 ft. How deep was the fish u was catching iron?
We were fishing in 4-8ft with the ole jig/speed crawl combo. Tore them ole big mouth Billies up!Mostly around docks. I tell you what, they were pulling like smallies this weekend.
This is the first time for me to be on this site and post something, i gotta say u guys are great, thanks for all the help and will definitely post if i had some luck or not. Thanks again for all the help! I'll just be happy to get a couple of bass on the end of the line for my two little girls! Good day and good fishin!!
Not particularly, I was throwing natural color jigs with a trailer that had some paddles or pinchers that you could almost swim.
Be sure to bring a drop shot and shakey head for the kids. Any kind of finesse worm on either rig should produce plenty and possibly a big smallie.
well packed and poles ready, heading down early friday morning, hoping the cold front doesnt completely shut them down. thinking today would probly be a better day but cant make it till the morning, will post if i get any in boat
