Greenbelt fishing ponds

Has anyone ever fished in the little ditches/ponds off of the side of the road on the greenbelt highway? I've heard from many people that there are some descent fish in there.

Me and my boys do some noodlin' down there on occasion. Gettin some biggins here lately biggest run about 156 pounds

Actually used to fish it out of a scamper and there are some 12-14 inch bass in there. I haven't fished it in a while.

Did you use live bait or artificial lures?

Plenty of blue gill in there. A few bass here and there. Ive heard of catfish just never fished for them out of there. I have only used artifical. Even the bluegill will hit a three inch grub. Fair spot to fish really. The church off of greenwood is where i usually stop at first.

i've heard of some decent bass being caught outta there and i also heard there are good numbers of crappie too. i've fished there once but no luck
