    Walter Payton

There is a book coming out saying Walter badly abused drugs. Why is someone doing this? Why are we wanting to tarnish one of the best sports figures of ALL TIME.

The man was on a waiting list for a organ donation and they were going to pull strings and pull him towards the front of the line so to speak due to money and fame. He would have none of it, saying that his life was no more important than anyone that was in front of him. He died waiting. Yes ladies and gentlemen that is a REAL MAN with a big heart and a Hell of alot of integrity. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He visited children and did as much or more for charities in the Chicago area the probably anyone in history, Mike Ditka said he was as fine a Human being as he had ever been associated with in his whole life.

All about the money. I saw a documentary on him a year or so ago about his struggles and being on the organ donor list for a Liver. He was a great man that did so many things outside of football that helped a tremendous amount of people. I agree

I heard Walter give a speech after his football career he said he was out of football due to knee injury and that was because he got lazy and cut back on his training. He said it is my fault and I accept all responsibility for the injury.

As an old old, bear fan, did I mention old? Walter was a great ball player, and human being, he didn't get the name "sweetness" by accident. Let the dead rest in peace.
