steering cables question

no it is not common I have had several boats usually keep them 3 to 5 years never had an issue with steering.

Teleflex generally last as long as most people own the boat,or longer,my 85 ranger had original on it when sold several years back.

mines a 95, and i replaced one 2 years ago. water will eventually get in them,which will depend on how much use they get per year

Thanks guys, I do use my boat ALOT so I guess i will check into getting better quality ones if they are available.
