    Cumberland stripers

Fished this last weekend. Tons of threadfin balled up and on the surface (starting about 11) in the back of creek. Did not mark many fish though and caught none. Fished 30 to surface and did some bottom fishing for an hour or so. Covered many miles of water looking around and really did not see any fish to speak of. Some friends caught one keeper each in the main lake below Jamestown at 30' about 1:00pm. Guess they were hanging very close to the bottom and inactive, suspended close to the surface and or bank, somewhere else or I was at the wrong lake?

    Any body have any luck?

    Re: Cumberland Jumps

Peter I had about the same results as you did on Saturday. Tons of bait fish in the head of Faubush and White Oak creeks but absolutely no fish any where near them. No jumps, no nothing.

Huge bass tournament out of Conley Saturday and I saw one guy land a real nice bass up in Faubush but that was about it.

    Re: Cumberland Jumps

The evening bite is still the only good one right now. Trade in the alarm clock for a nice warm breakfast and wait till a few hours before dark. Unfortunately for some reason the most consistant of all morning bite is not happening, just a few spairingly. The evening bite, 2 hours before dark, until dark is where it is right now. They will start to feed and jump during this time. If you are making plans to come down plan on fishing in the evening, it will make the difference of blanking and filling the boat with keepers. I am sure they are feeding in to the night as well but I have been leaving when it gets dark, they stop about 1/2 hour before dark, then I don't know when they start to feed again.
