I picked up one of the new Crucials last week and I must say they are very nice rods as well. I really like what they have done with their line up.

Was wondering if anyone knew anything about Shimano new rods the Sellus ($49.99) and the Convergence ($59.99)
I understand the Sellus rivals the Abu Garcia Veritas which I love ...

I have talked about them before on this site, but if you guys like shimano or loomis, you would like B and R Outlaw rods for the money. I have 3 of them that I got from a tackle shop in Katawa KY, but you can go to their website to order too. Not any fancy marketing, but very good rods with an over the counter lifetime warranty.
On another note....I just got a Fenwick River Tech Elite UL rod a couple weeks ago to compliment my UL arsenal. Very nice blank, quality guides and unique handle/reel seat. Very light and not too flimsy.
I'll take a look at these rods ...
The convergence is AWESOME!!!! I have one as my jig rod and love it!! I highly reccomend it. It also comes with a lifetime no questions asked warranty...even if you roll it up in your truck window take it into any shimano dealer and they will give you a new one
Convergence rods are sweet!!!!
Ok ... So what is the point in Shimano making all these rods at such similar price points? Sellus Convergence Crucial Compre Clarus ... All are supposed to be made of similar technology so what is the difference between them all?
for the price you can't beat the rod! i bought one just to try and see how it was.... to me the feel is comparable to the carrot stix... may go back for a few others.... if the warranty was a lifetime.... one year warranty the only downfall i seen
Which rod has the 1 year warranty again?
i may be mistaken just got a glance at the tag before i tosssed it but i am pretty sure the new shimano just has a year...
Unless Shimano has drastically changed their policy, which really wouldn't surprise me, all their rods are lifetime warranty....I can vouch for their customer service as well....Broke a Cumara setting the hook on a fish earlier in the year....Shipped it to them and had a brand new one back within 5 days of shipping mine...I attatched a note with it explaining what had happened...If you ask me that's worth paying extra for right there

Thanks for all opinions. Will report back if I grab any of these rods
