Those in the state park come up first of march, middle of apriil for birdsong as different varieties as time goes on get thicker during the summer
So yes we have lilly pads
In all fairness saw a small patch in lil bear two years ago,but small about 50x25
Most of ky lake is in Tn and most of the green stuff when available, this year slim but pondweed, duckweed, elephant ear, yellow heart, even an occasional dollar lilly, yellow lilly and american lotus plants have been here all year now turning brown.
Areas like blood river drainage ditch and big sandy canal have bog and aquatic plants always.
Also have a fair share of cottonmouths, avoid taking boat under tree limbs they drop in so to speak.
For thick stuff (american lotus) come in june july aug or sept, launch birdsong resort ramp and go back in the bay not out to the main, bring frogs, braid and heart meds.
