you cant beat the cumberland river when it comes to trout fishing around here
Lots of great trout streams here in Kentucky, but the only place I've caught large trout is below Wolf Creek dam at Cumberland.
Pulled my first brookie outta there a couple weeks ago too.
CR= Cumberland River!!!
Ditto on the CR, although it doesn't seem to be fishing like it was a few years back. Rock Creek is good for small trout. Dix is fair. In Tennessee, there's the Clinch, which I hear can be really good. I also hear good things about Caney Fork, which I hope to fish one day.
There are also some excellent trout streams in West Virginia.....
FiNS Lakes are great fun, and the trout are a nice eatin' size, but I wouldn't call it true "trout fishing." After all, they're in a lake, a pond really, not at all their natural environment. They're supposed to stock Miles, Fisherman's, and Tom Wallace on Tuesday, 10/18.
