I voted no to a new board.

I come to this site for fishing information. The Off Topic board as it is now is a catch-all for anything else and I think that's fine. If a board is added for sports, then why not add one for politics, books, computers, cell phones, etc. Pretty soon we have a message board for lots of stuff besides fishing.

If I want to talk sports, I go to message boards whose purpose is sports.

That being said, I support whatever the owners of the site want to do. For me, the site is free and I'm grateful for any info and/or entertainment I get from it. I know it takes time to run and moderate and it is something that has been valuable to me.

I haven't followed all the stuff that's been going on, and I'm too lazy to chase it all down.

Sorry to lose you EL. I will say this. In the little I did read you went overboard. You let your emotions get the better of you and the tone of your sports related posts didn't make anyone sympathetic to your cause. The other guys probably crossed the line too, but they were much less strident than you. They'd push your buttons with a few sentences, and you'd go off on a shrill full page tirade. What are you thinking man? After all these years you should know you're not going to change anyone's mind, so it's not worth getting too upset over. Just my 2 cents brother, chill out a while and come on back when you regain your perspective, it'll be ah-ite.

Anyway, didn't vote on the new board, because I have no opinion on a sports board.

Did vote yes on a no holds barred board where those of a like mind could duke it out, and yes act like a bunch of idiots, because I think it would've been fun. I fear no internet hack out there.
