What the heck was going on at Paris Landing this morning?

Came in off Kentucky Lake this morning about 11:30 at Paris Landing. Saw a black/red Nitro Z9 in the middle of the marina and thought, "looks just like Van Dam's". It WAS Van Dam, setting in the middle of the marina doing something on camera. A boat was going by me and looked over....it was Greg Hackney. A whole slew of pros was standing on the dock. Gary Klein, Shaw Grigsby, Mark Davis were the ones that I recognized standing there. In the parking lot were wrapped trucks from another site, Extreme Angler TV, Ardent reels, TackleWarehouse, Kim Stricker drove by in the "Hook 'n Look" rig, and there was a BassCat Pro there with a red/white/blue Eyra (should have known who it was, but couldn't place him). Jonathan Van Dam was there and I think I saw Stacy King. Anyone have any idea what the heck was going on?

Pretty neat man! They were probably there waiting around, hoping Dave would give them some tips.

Aren't most of those guys Strike KIng Pros? Strike King does a TV show but that doesn't really explain the other guys you saw. I do know KVD was at the Cabin Bait and Tackle on Saturday. I wish I knew all of them were going to be there because I was already down there all weekend and was off work today too. I would have just stayed one more day. Shoot!

They are here more often than you think, just dont announce it.
Even when a T launches at the dam or ken lake its easier to trailer here and launch for practice, than to make the trip in a boat.
Yet often pays so well to do that on T day.
They are here on business so not a social thing, yet kvd is one of the nicest people one could meet, and possibly exchange greetings with.
I ran in to several sunday.
I often take pics of their boats, not them without permission.
Not taken sunday, but at paris landing he has shoes to match the boat ,very nice guy.

No not in the pic with the boat
Yes we do have them, just across 79 in paris landing state park, beavers have it semi blocked access at full pool only

40 miles father south birdsong crk few hundred acres
    http://www.freewebs.com/kylaketn/app...otoid=61955144
Those in the state park come up first of march, middle of apriil for birdsong as different varieties as time goes on get thicker during the summer
So yes we have lilly pads
In all fairness saw a small patch in lil bear two years ago,but small about 50x25
Most of ky lake is in Tn and most of the green stuff when available, this year slim but pondweed, duckweed, elephant ear, yellow heart, even an occasional dollar lilly, yellow lilly and american lotus plants have been here all year now turning brown.
Areas like blood river drainage ditch and big sandy canal have bog and aquatic plants always.
Also have a fair share of cottonmouths, avoid taking boat under tree limbs they drop in so to speak.
For thick stuff (american lotus) come in june july aug or sept, launch birdsong resort ramp and go back in the bay not out to the main, bring frogs, braid and heart meds.
