R19, you are correct for the most part, but these days they normally stop the draw down around 528 feet. Yes I know most sources say 525 but you how the government is. For some reason they just have not changed the numbers on the information available. Last year on December 15 it was at 529 and they lowered it to 528.5 and it bounced around in that area for a long time. If it rains they open it up more until they get close to 528 and then close it down some. You are 150% correct when you say the weather can make big changes in the water level overnight at Barren River Lake.
