As pointed out by Tim_T in this thread there is an ignore user setting in your User control Panel where you can hide posts by any user(s) you choose.

Go to the User CP
Then select Edit Ignore List (it's the tenth selection down in the left column)

Enter the user name(s) you want to ignore.
