I use them a lot and different types of scents--if nothing else they help hide the scent of handling plastics by us. Cant hurt right. I have even heard of using wd-40 as a attractant. I never have but know others that have. For some reason i have better luck with them in the fall and winter. I dont know if fish smell better in cool/cold water or what. Theres my 2 cents. Later jc

Do you guys go straight to using an attractant or do you only use it if the day is heading south?

Sometimes there biting well enough without using attractant that i wont bother with it. But if bite is slow i always look for a way to get a bite and sometimes it helps,not always but it cant hurt. I have fished with guys that dont believe it helps until im using it and out fishing them and then they try it and start catching as many fish as i do. Later jc

I fish with reaction innovation smallie beavers a lot. I order them a dozen at a time. The first thing I do is squeeze in some Hot Sauce to let it "marinate". I can tell you there is a distint difference between the ones that are juiced and the that are not. I thought "well its a confidence thing" so me and a buddy put it to the test over a weekend at Dale. Big difference. You have to make sure it gets warm though. The hot sauce will be "clumpy" in cold weather but will be fine once heated up. It makes the suckers slippery and hard to put on a shaky head tho!

I use scents from the get go. And I can tell the difference in using it and not using it. I always have scent on hand at all times. Kinda like visa don't leave home without it...
