7 year Contract Extension

Are you kidding me...Klownthorp came to U of L as one of Jurich's closest friends as the Football Coach.... Did he get a contract extension at the half way point of his 2nd season as head coach, Heck no he didn't, cause too many fans were after his head already.

Klugthorps record at U of L:

6-6 year one and no Bowl bid
5-7 year two, misses qualifing for a bowl bid by 1 game
4-8 year three worst year for a U of L team in 4 years....
Klugthorp Fired after 3 seasons and 4 or 5 million buyout for getting fired

Strong's record at U of L:

7-6 year one and gets Bowl bid and wins Bowl game with 25 senior's on Team
2-4 year two, with possibly the worst U of L team in 6 years and a possible 10 loss's on the season...

But yet, this whole deal is worthy of a 7 year contract extension that will pay CCS 2.3 million a year as Head coach.

Honestly since when does a Coach with a losing record after only 1 1/2 years on the job, justify a contract extension of 7 years and a raise in salary....This deal must be something U of L came up with in order to keep CCS at U of L and not wanna leave for a more attractive School.....

I would say the same thing about any coach in a College Sport....

No wonder it cost so dang much for kids to go to College these days.....

"Win's bowl game with 25 seniors" Exactly, 25 kids who under the previous coaching staff never smelled a bowl game, yet in year one under CCS they not only go, but actually win.

Also, I have explained it over and over to you Clyde, yet you refuse to either want to believe, or you are delusional. The cost of tuition has NOTHING TO DO WITH ATHLETICS!

Best I can tell and this is just my opinion, I think they are trying to get his salary up to competitive in nature for when we jump to the Big12. I'm serious here, I think we are leaving the Big East!!!

You've got to be kidding me..Last year the Big East was so far down on the radar, that Trinity's Coaching staff could have won enough games with U of L's schedule to have gotten a bowl bid. Same thing with this year, same schedule and weak Big East Conference... From what I've seen so far, CCS is and always will be a Defensive minded coach, his other coaching abilities seem weak so far...Maybe that is why it took 20 years for a College to take a chance on his coaching abilities other than a Defense coach....Don't get me wrong, the man could turn out to be a fine College Head Coach, but so far he used Klugthorp's player's to win those 7 games......

BTW, why do you keep calling people names when myself and others on this board try and have normal conversations about things related to your beloved Cards....The only one's I have noticed that you never seem to say one cross word to is all of your Cardinal Buddies.....

Exactly! Kinda like Tubby won a natl' championship with Pitino's players. Pitino couldn't win with them, but Tubby did. Yet they all say it was Pitino's players.

I just talked to Trinity's Head Football coach. He said that they are brining in a football team in from IN for their homecoming game next year because they want a big win. I could not believe it was IU. Trinity is giving more points than Whisky did this past weekend.

It is not just the sports teams, he hates everything about the city of Louisville and has mentioned this on several occasions. Yet he still continues to live here. Go figure!
