Are you kidding me...Klownthorp came to U of L as one of Jurich's closest friends as the Football Coach.... Did he get a contract extension at the half way point of his 2nd season as head coach, Heck no he didn't, cause too many fans were after his head already.
Klugthorps record at U of L:
6-6 year one and no Bowl bid
5-7 year two, misses qualifing for a bowl bid by 1 game
4-8 year three worst year for a U of L team in 4 years....
Klugthorp Fired after 3 seasons and 4 or 5 million buyout for getting fired
Strong's record at U of L:
7-6 year one and gets Bowl bid and wins Bowl game with 25 senior's on Team
2-4 year two, with possibly the worst U of L team in 6 years and a possible 10 loss's on the season...
But yet, this whole deal is worthy of a 7 year contract extension that will pay CCS 2.3 million a year as Head coach.
Honestly since when does a Coach with a losing record after only 1 1/2 years on the job, justify a contract extension of 7 years and a raise in salary....This deal must be something U of L came up with in order to keep CCS at U of L and not wanna leave for a more attractive School.....
I would say the same thing about any coach in a College Sport....
No wonder it cost so dang much for kids to go to College these days.....
