Unless its on a hefty boat you can use a higher pitch,the old xflows have high gear ratios.Im running a 24 p on a 1977 -140 and its maxed at rpms(5850) and 58mph,115 depending upon if its a bubble back at least a 21p.
They are now making the 13 spline again as etec uses them.
