fun farm pond

Realized today how much fun it is to just relax and catch big fish in a farm pond. I fish mostly tournaments or am practicing for tourneys, which keeps me on edge always trying to find em and sometimes forget to have fun. This evening i went to a farm pond that i have fished for 15 to 20 yrs. I have always caught nice bass out of it with the biggest ever around 5 lbs., but is very rare. Mostly 3-4, and that is just one or two each trip.

Tonight was special, i hooked up and landed two bass that were both 6 lbs each easily. Have to admit got me a little shook up, most people dont land fish like that every day, especially not two in about 15 minutes. Caught a couple around 4 and couple around 3. had a blast!!

Just was reflecting back on it and thought about how much fun it is to hold a fish like that in your hand a get a picture of them and just thought i would remind everyone of something that i think i have been forgetting about here lately.

Just how much fun it is to get out and fish, whether it be on the lake, river or even in a farm pond.

Great job! I also enjoy going to the farm ponds also. Can't say that I've ever had your luck (LOL) , but they are still fun. I also love going to small 9.9 lakes and just troll around. I get funny looks when I'm backing my 21' bass boat down the ramp at Beaver lake in Anderson Co , but I love that place. "Peaceful"
