15" crappie is manageable, I've caught a handful of them.

Never would have though of that, mite try that at Nolin with live bait.I'm thinking a 23inch Hybrid at Barren mite be easy if i can caych them like i did before in Nov.
I've caught 15" crappie and 23" hybrids both at rough river, might want to try there
I'll be doing it from a kayak so i need too be with in a mile or 2 of a ramp.I've fished Rough but don't know some of the ramps there.Nolin & Barren are on the list because their close by where i live.
Terry I have received 4 Master Angler Awards, the first in 1992. 7 largest of the year awards, and over 50 trophy fish awards. I haven't participated in the program since 1999, had kids and didn't have the time! Funny thing is I catch bigger fish now LOL. Great program. And to kinda answer your question, I think you should focus on the places your fishing not the speices, and the Ohio river gets my vote. Good luck ChuckI decided after i got my 1st Award this yr too go for 3 & my catch yesterday made my 2nd.I have a SM & Carp & need just 1 more.My question is what would be a easy fish too target for my 3rd ? All that in 7yrs is cool.Hope i'm still catching fish in 7yrs.I've known about the program since i was a kid but never took part in it till this yr.Its so easy too enter now with it all done right from home with a click.Do you think you ever caught the same fish & used it again in a different yr?The reason i ask is my SM is in a small creek, the carp is dead & i mite eat the hybird if i can catch them in Nov. again...........Terry I have received 4 Master Angler Awards, the first in 1992. 7 largest of the year awards, and over 50 trophy fish awards. You should be able to get a 23" stripe at barren fairly easy, I would think. Thats waht I would do. Good luck!
I don't think it is likely. There are so many fish that stack up at Mcalpine the odds are slim. There's just a mess a big fish in the river of all types. I beleive the big C and the Ohio are responsable for a good portion of our state records. Throw in the fact the falls are one of the largest sedementary rock formations and you have a unique situation.Back when I was in the program I don't think I had computer acsess,so I was stampin it.Plus fishin 3 or 4 times a week didn't hurt. Learning the patterns of different speices through out the year was a challenge, but has helped me narrow my seach down to what's happenen now.Keep on keepin on and it will happen.Good luck to you, if I can help give me a PM~ChuckAll that in 7yrs is cool.Hope i'm still catching fish in 7yrs.I've known about the program since i was a kid but never took part in it till this yr.Its so easy too enter now with it all done right from home with a click.Do you think you ever caught the same fish & used it again in a different yr?The reason i ask is my SM is in a small creek, the carp is dead & i mite eat the hybird if i can catch them in Nov. again...........
