15" crappie is manageable, I've caught a handful of them.

I've caught 15" crappie and 23" hybrids both at rough river, might want to try there

Terry I have received 4 Master Angler Awards, the first in 1992. 7 largest of the year awards, and over 50 trophy fish awards. I haven't participated in the program since 1999, had kids and didn't have the time! Funny thing is I catch bigger fish now LOL. Great program. And to kinda answer your question, I think you should focus on the places your fishing not the speices, and the Ohio river gets my vote. Good luck Chuck

All that in 7yrs is cool.Hope i'm still catching fish in 7yrs.I've known about the program since i was a kid but never took part in it till this yr.Its so easy too enter now with it all done right from home with a click.Do you think you ever caught the same fish & used it again in a different yr?The reason i ask is my SM is in a small creek, the carp is dead & i mite eat the hybird if i can catch them in Nov. again...........

I don't think it is likely. There are so many fish that stack up at Mcalpine the odds are slim. There's just a mess a big fish in the river of all types. I beleive the big C and the Ohio are responsable for a good portion of our state records. Throw in the fact the falls are one of the largest sedementary rock formations and you have a unique situation.Back when I was in the program I don't think I had computer acsess,so I was stampin it.Plus fishin 3 or 4 times a week didn't hurt. Learning the patterns of different speices through out the year was a challenge, but has helped me narrow my seach down to what's happenen now.Keep on keepin on and it will happen.Good luck to you, if I can help give me a PM~Chuck
