Barren Today

Me & my son went for about 3hrs today,i was catching slots & dinks & 1 13inch Hybird & he was crying about not catching any.Then he dicided too listen he caught a 16 1/2 inch LM.He was fishing in my Old Town Vapor.We put in at Austin ramp & had the wind in our face leaving & coming back.All our fish were caught on traps.Cost for this trip was about 2 gals of gas in the car.Green fishing,Shanty Hollow tomorrow sound like a great place too hit.

Thanks for the report. I am also going to be fishing Shanty Hollow sometime throughout the week. I had a buddy that fished there last week and caught a 2 1/2-3 pounder on a crankbait. He was shore fishing.

As for Barren, what type of structure/areas of the lake were you fishing? You don't have to give specifics if you don't want to give up any info. I will be fishing there soon and haven't been out there in about a month and was just wondering what kind of gameplan I need to come up with. Thanks for any info.

We was using rattle traps on flats but the big fish was off a point on our way back too Austin ramp.I caught 2 dinks same point.
