If you get water below decks when you've take your bass seat and pedestal out, here's the fix. Lowes, Hard to Find Parts organizer, 3/4 in plastic cap plugs, $1.09 for 2, and when you pull the seat and pedestal, just drop the plug in the base hole. Easy to remove too, and not a trip hazzard as they lay nearly flush to the base surface.
