    Beaver Lake

Does anyone ever fish it for bass? What is the trick on finding the bigger ones. I don't fish tourneys I just fish for fun. All I can ever pull out is right under the size limit.

Catching bass under 15" is pretty much the norm for Beaver Lake. I have caught dozens and dozens of fish under 15" and very few over. This spring KY Fish and Wildlife relocated a thousand short bass from Beaver to Guist Creek Lake (another lake where it is tough to catch a keeper), I think to help both lakes. Beaver gets hammered during the day, so I would suggest fishing it at night in the summer, during early spring when the big girls are shallow, and right now when the fish are moving shallow and are active. Good luck.

You can use your big motor to load and unload.

The Game Warden that has been standing on the dock two times when I was getting ready to take out has told me twice" You know that you can use your motor to load and unload don't you?" He came up and was shooting the bull with me after I pulled out.

That's good to know. I'll get a confirmation from the Dept.

I go to beaver pretty often and I see it done all the time and have never seen anyone say anything about it.
